The all new TPX™ Radar and Laser Detection System 2.0 has all the features you need with proven, top-notch performance.
The Perfect Solution
When zooming down the open road with the wind in your face you can’t hear much and you definitely don’t want to take your eyes off the road. That’s why we developed the Wireless Headset and Visual Alert as critical components of the system. Not just afterthoughts.
The Wireless Headset is compatible with most helmets and it alerts you of detected radar and laser signals through its earphone that sits inside your helmet. With adjustable volume settings, you’ll be able to hear the detected signals no matter how loud the ambient noise is.
The Visual Alert can be mounted just about anywhere on your bike so as to be within your peripheral vision. Its bright LED lights flash when radar and laser signals are detected so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road. With adjustable brightness settings, you’ll be able to see it even in direct sunlight without being blinded at night. The Wireless Headset and the Visual Alert can also be used at the same time.
What Else?
A lot! The TPX™ System comes with a Wiring Harness so you can easily connect to your bike’s power source, making installation a breeze. Its water resistant construction means that you don’t have to worry about shielding it from the rain. Large buttons are designed so that you can operate it with riding gloves. Its top positioned, angled, backlit LCD allows you to actually see the display from your riding position, day or night. Vibration and shock resistant design ensures that it’ll last on your bike. It is portable so you can take it with you on your lunch stop and don’t have to worry about theft. It also means that you can use it on multiple bikes, and even your car (if you have one of those four-wheeled things).

Bike Rider magazine April 2016 – :
With the threat of Police highway cars ever-present on any of the country’s main roads and more increasingly present on our favourite backroads, having a good radar detector is now more important than ever if you want to keep your licence.
With most modern sportsbike and plenty of other regular bikes able to break the open road limit in first or second gear, it doesn’t take much for a split second lapse of concentration just at the wrong time to see you walking home, or worse. It used to be that you needed to adapt a car radar detector to fit on your bike which used to mean messing with wiring, usually involved a zip lock bag to keep it dry and a wired earpiece so you could hear the bleeping. But not anymore…
The Adaptiv TPX is designed by motorcyclists for motorcyclists, something which is instantly apparent by the size of the buttons on top. Yep, you can control the TPX even with the thickest winter gloves on, with the buttons controlling detection sensitivity, display brightness and volume situated on the top. The screen emits a blue glow which isn’t too distracting when mounted ahead of you, and it can be dimmed if required.
The sensitivity of the TPX is good, but not quite as good as the latest and greatest car models. That’s good and bad. When the TPX goes off you know there’s definitely a cop nearby, whereas the more sensitive versions can be picking radar up from miles away, so they might not actually be travelling anywhere near you. The TPX comes complete with the cable to hardwire the detector to the bike for power and also a flashing LED indicator which you need to mount somewhere it’s going to show up in your peripheral vision. At speed, chances are you’re not going to hear the unit bleeping away, so this flashing light is your only chance. Although the unit comes with a mounting plate to screw into a hard surface, it doesn’t include a bike-specific mount, so you need to work out where you’re going to put the TPX on the bike. Radar Direct has a heap of different options, so it’s simply a case of deciding which is going to work best on your machine.
If you’re worried about missing an alert simply by relying on the flashing light (which I was) there are other options which really make the TPX standout from the crowd of other detectors. With a built-in FM Transmitter the TPX can connect to either an ear-piece or a small LED light which inserts into your helmet, giving you a much better chance of noticing the detector go off. The FM unit simply sticks to the back of your helmet meaning it’s out of the way.
Whether you’re doing major kays or simply out for a Sunday blast, it really is advisable to have a detector fitted to save you from any embarrassing slip-ups with the throttle. Changing speed limits, cops sitting at the end of passing lanes – there are so many traps to fall into. Having an alert on your motorcycle which actually works is now almost a necessity, and the TPX has certainly saved many here from facing a painful trip to court.
